The Cherwell Online site is a great example of ways that local councils can use the interweb to help unite and inform the people within their community. The Cherwell local community website contains lots of employment opportunities and events to advice and local news are available on Cherwell Online making it a useful tool for the community. This means Cherwell constituents can easily find out about changes to rubbish collection times at Christmas and local events such as the Spring fayre.

The Kennet District can be found in the east of rural Wiltshire. It is comprised of four main areas, Marlborough, Devizes, Tidworth and Pewsey all of which have much to offer. Marlborough Wiltshire is a small market town but it has a large college which means that there are plenty of pubs and shops to enjoy. Pewsey is another small town but the area has alot of local heritage and is home to one of Wiltshires white horses. Tidworth is a military town so it has plenty to offer in the way of local facilities and Devizes is a bigger town with a lot of local history with it’s involvement in the English civil war and its famous canals. It is also the home of the Wadworth Breweries which are famous for their beers and Shire horses.
